Boo at the Zoo

This past Friday night we went to Boo at the Zoo with several friends and had a great time. The kids loved the Halloween decorations, riding the train, the hay ride, and the carousel. They also enjoyed dancing (although Maddox just stood very still and watched everyone) at the Monster Mash and seeing and petting the animals in the petting zoo. The little ones were so cute! Maddox was a tiger (without the head of course), Jackson was a very stubborn lion who refused to wear his costume (despite several bribery attempts), Avery was a ladybug, Whit was a skunk, and Tucker was a sweet little lamb. We really enjoyed getting together with everyone. I know it would have been an impossible feat, but I wish we had been able to get a picture of all of the little ones in their cute costumes. Oh well...maybe next year!

Family shot on the train ride...
Uncle Scott and Jackson ready to ride the train. Even though he wouldn't wear his costume, he sure looked cute in his sweet little pumpkin shirt.
Maddox enjoyed riding around on Daddy's shoulders.
Waiting in line to ride the haunted carousel...
Here we are riding the carousel. Maddox really enjoyed it. The carousel went backwards so it was a little different. They also kept cutting the lights on and off to make it more spooky. Each time they did this, everyone would scream. I was glad it didn't scare Maddox. It really didn't seem to phase him at all.
Admiring one of the many pumpkins ("paw-paws") he saw...
This cool little goat really enjoyed being petted. He came through the fence to us!
