Goodbye summer...you will be missed!

Summer has officially come to an end. I've seen it coming for a while now, but I sure hoped it would just never get here! Maddox and I had such a wonderful summer and I just can't believe it's over already. There is a lot that I am going to miss, but I am really going to miss getting to lay in bed with him in the mornings and snuggle (watching Curious George of course). He is just the best snuggler! And of course our fun day trips to the zoo and the park, the fun times playing in the backyard, swimming, or playing ball. Of course we will always have our weekends and that will just have to do for now, but to my sweet little man, thank you for making my summer one to remember and I am counting down the days until I can do it all over again with you! I love you more than you will ever know!

Tomorrow is Maddox's first day of little people school at Noah's Park. We went tonight to meet Maddox's teachers and drop off his supplies. I still cannot believe that my baby is a year and a half old. Blake and I were talking the other day about how he's just not a baby anymore...he is turning into a little boy before our very eyes and there doesn't seem to be anything we can do to stop it! I really think that Maddox is going to enjoy being around the other kids and playing with them each day. I am looking forward to seeing what all he will learn and pick up on being around little friends each day. Tonight, he ran right through the door and straight to a shelf of toys. He played the entire time we talked to his teachers and I'm pretty sure we could have walked right out without him and he wouldn't have noticed. Something tells me he is really going to enjoy it there, which makes me happy. If I can't be with him, I at least want him to be somewhere where he is happy and having fun!

Working on my form...

We have recently become a little obsessed with basketball. The last footage seen of Maddox slam dunking (if you could call it that) was a little rough and it was clear that he needed some practice. Well he has been practicing a lot lately and although I am a biased mother who will probably always believe her son is quite talented no matter what, he really has gotten pretty good. He got a new basketball goal this past week and it is pretty tall so he has to stand on the bed or couch to shoot, but he's become a pretty good shooter. He also loves to cheer for himself when he makes a goal (and even sometimes when he doesn't make it too). It is quite entertaining to watch! Oh how I love him!

Here's our new favorite thing to do and I'm pretty sure he would do it all day long if I let him..
