I can't believe my sweet baby is already two years old! It is amazing to see how much he has changed and grown in a year's time. He is a great big ball of energy and he is talking so much now. He will say just about anything you ask him too and he has an incredible memory. He knows what kind of car everyone drives, which way to turn to get certain places (and believe me, he lets you know to go that way), and basically just soaks everything up like a little sponge. He is loving school and all of his little friends. His best buddy this year is Henry and his teachers even say that whichever one is still asleep at the end of nap time goes and wakes the other one up to go play. He also claims to have a girlfriend, Claire (who he affectionately calls "Claire-bear") and he usually lets us know who gets in trouble at school and has to go to time-out (unfortunately sometimes he is on that list), ha! He just amazes us every day and we are so blessed to be his parents. He is definitely one of a kind!
We went to the doctor today for his two year check-up and he is still growing like a weed! He weighed in at 31 pounds and is 37 inches tall. He is a pretty big kid for his age (not sure which gene pool that's coming from right now, but I figure that will change at some point, just looking at Blake and me). We didn't have to get any shots at the doctor today which is always a relief. I know they are for his own good, but I hate having to see him get shots! They did prick his finger though and boy was that a bloodbath. He pretty much flipped out and try as I might to restrain his arms, he's a pretty strong little guy. Needless to say, the bandaid wouldn't stay on his finger and both of us were pretty much covered in blood by the time it was all over with. We were planning on going to the grocery store afterward, but since it looked like we'd been in a knife fight, I decided against it. It is amazing that so much blood can come from one little poke! Overall, we had a successful two year check up!
We can't wait to see what this third year brings!
